Packtown has recently supported a cause close to their heart. The Sluyter Foundation an NPO that supports those with disabilities has started a worthy initiative in the hospitality field in Hermanus. Packtown sponsored food supplies to assist in launching the project, as this organisation embarks on a long term drive to train those with special needs to become skilled in the restaurant trade under the banner “Only Specials”, which can be found next to Daan’s Bakery in Hermanus.

"Only Specials" is driven by the desire to offer opportunities to those who may be distanced from the labour market. We firmly believe that individuals with disabilities have the potential to thrive and contribute as productive members of society. As a social enterprise, our goal is to provide a pathway and option for these individuals. Through sustainable employment opportunities, "Only Specials" aims to empower these individuals with practical skills, fostering personal development along the way. Our commitment to excellence is unwavering. We strive to offer the public food and beverage services of the highest standard, delivered by a team of dedicated individuals with intellectual disabilities who receive guidance and mentorship from a professional team.
