We are therefore delighted to welcome Ficks Restaurant to the Packtown family, which opened recently in Hermanus. This concept Pincho and Wine Bar is the brainchild of Joke, Just and Daan Gonggrijp, experienced restaurateurs of popular Dutchies.
The restaurant is located right on the sea, in a sheltered cove overlooking the 1930’s tidal pool in Hermanus. The owners’ main aim in creating Ficks is to retain the sense of place, history and environment of this unique spot, hence the name which stems from the family who originally owned the property for over 130 years.
Inspired by Northern Spain cuisine the small bite-sized food – called Pinchos are meant to be shared to create a social eating experience between friends and family. The size of their dishes encourages ordering a variety of these flavour-filled plates. Be sure to try this fresh and exciting cuisine expertly prepared by Chef Fadzi and Sous Chef Susan.
